Rebecca Smith

Rebecca is the Executive Director of the Surrey Hospice Society. Surrey Hospice Society supports those facing the end of their lives in Surrey’s Residential Hospice, at Surrey Memorial Hospital and also those who choose to stay in their homes.

Deeply committed to the community she lives in, and a resident of the area for over 34 years Rebecca has always believed in service, standing up, speaking up, and participating.

Jennifer Cowden

Jennifer brings over 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience to the DFC team. Event management and marketing was a natural fit with Jennifer’s work and volunteer experience. She has a passion for working with non-profit organizations. That passion started early when she volunteered with her family at various disabled sporting events. Jennifer loves travel and new experiences, grateful she has had the opportunities to visit several cities and countries. And, like her business partner, Shannon, Jennifer enjoys collaborating with clients on their events, helping them reach their fundraising or corporate goals.

Tyler Dennis

Tyler is currently a practicing lawyer with the local Cloverdale firm of MacMillan, Tucker and Mackay, having been with the firm since 2016. He completed his studies at Dalhousie University (2009), Brock University (2012), the University of Kent (2014) and UBC (2015) before completing his articling training under George Gunnink and then remained with the firm as an associate. His practice is focused on real estate, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial matters.

Having studied around the world, and called Ontario home, Tyler has had the opportunity to experience many different communities and become involved with many local organizations. When looking to begin his practice he intentionally sought a location that offers not only opportunity for a young individual just starting out, but also encompassed a sense of community. This is what he found in Cloverdale and specifically with the Chamber of Commerce.

Brian Leong

Brian is a local realtor with Royal LePage Wolstencroft and has 22 years of experience in the real estate industry. Brian and his family live in Cloverdale and he is glad to be raising his family here. So naturally, Brian wants to be involved in making Cloverdale a great community to live and work in. His goal in the Chamber is to help grow the membership and connect local businesses and help the community thrive and grow.

In addition to his interest in the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce, Brian is proud to be a Block Watch Captain, he recently completed the RCMP Citizen Police Academy, and is looking forward to being an active PAC (Parent’s Advisory Committee) member for many years to come. Brian continues to meet a lot of great people in this community and he really enjoys learning about what they do and how they do it.

Nicole Bennett

Nicole started in career in Scotia Bank as Personal Banking Officer and a Mutual Funds Investment Advisor. She decided to leave the bank to work as a Registered Behavioral Therapist in the Surrey school system. After 12 years working within this industry, Nicole decided to put her time and effort into the family business.
Nicole believes in providing her clients with a high level of customer service and takes pride in ensuring that when you call in, you are taken care of from the first phone call to the day you take possession of your new home.

Nicole has fostered children for 30 years off and on and off, coached community ball and soccer, volunteered with Autism Speaks, and several other community programs. When she has some spare time, Nicole loves hiking, playing and watching sports, spending time with her family and friends, cooking and enjoying a glass of red wine.

Brian Moukperian

The Board has a critical role in reaching into the Community to enhance the mutual benefits of the citizens and employers. KPU Tech is a large employer in Cloverdale, with many connections to local businesses, students and employers. On my part, as the Dean, I am responsible for promoting KPU’s brand, developing and implementing business plans to strengthen our educational services and programs, which in turn foster community development. I know KPU Tech is part and parcel of the Cloverdale Community.

My board experience includes two years as one of the founding directors of the Calgary Motor Dealers Charitable Foundation. The Foundation derived funding from membership contributions (and donors) from the Calgary Motors Dealers Association and the Calgary International Auto Show. In turn, the Foundation gave money to selected charities and charitable organizations in Calgary. As a Director, I gave input to the Foundation’s strategic direction of financial sustainability ($1M goal) and I was a member of the charity selection committee.
